JudgesIn order to avoid the pitfalls of judging by committee, the CR Photography Annual appoints just one judge per category to choose work for inclusion in the Annual. We ask our judges to help us create a showcase of exceptional photography using the following criteria: excellence in craft and technique; innovation in approach to subject; suitability to subject matter, category and use. Ultimately we ask them, is this a piece of work that you would have been proud to commission yourself? In addition to work selected for the Photography Annual, the judges choose, between them, a number of projects to be accorded the accolade of Best in Book.
